Our Favorite Swoon-Worthy Fairytale Weddings of the Month

Many people long to feel like a prince or princess on their big day, but these happy couples actually made it happen. Check out these fairytale weddings, you know you want to!

When it comes to weddings, the fairytale wedding dream is actually pretty common. However, most couples just add in a touch of royalty here or there and call it a day. If you’re planning out a fairytale wedding then you’re definitely in for a treat when it comes to these beautiful weddings that will actually take your breath away. I promise!

Beauty and the Beast

There’s a pretty good chance you grew up watching this Disney classic over and over again. Between Belle’s love of books and the Beast’s gentle, yet mysterious, personality, it was hard not to fall head over heels for this story. So, when I saw this photoshoot featured on Sassy Mouth Photography it took everything I had not to swoon.

To start things off, the bride’s actual name is Belle! How romantic, right? The lovely bride really knew what she was doing to make her wedding the talk of the guest list too! The dress she chose was similar to the iconic princess’ but was far more sophisticated and charming (and…not yellow)! The groom’s attire was spot on too. Very noble and regal without looking pretentious or out-of-place.

Sassy Mouth went all out on the photoshoot too. I mean, there’s a little bit of every character in each photo, including the adorable little teacup that you know won you over all those years ago. The couple’s wedding cake even featured red roses! Every photo is glamourous and has the perfect depth. Of course, what really took the cake was the photos shot ouside of a museum, which actually looks like a castle!

Sweet and catchy!

Cinderella

Princess extraordinaire!

Not quite midnight!

If you loved the tragic turned rejoiceful tale of the beautiful Cinderella then this wedding is right up your alley. When I saw it on the Fab You Bliss Blog I had to do a double take!

Simply Sweet Photography is to be applaud for this stunning photoshoot. I have to say, I find it hard to pick out just a few elements that I like the most because everything flows so stunningly. But, I guess if you forced me to play favorites, I’d have to point out how amazingly Cinderella the dress is! Can’t you see all of Cinderella’s little friends working together to create this light and flowing powder blue gown?

I also really love the icy appearance of everything. It’s not so cold to be mistaken for Frozen, but it’s cold enough to make the powder blue and lilacs really pop in each photo! The accessories are worth mentioning too as they bring a simple elegance to the mood of each photo.

Once Upon a Dream

How do you take your tea?

Throne takes center stage!

This is definitely one of my favorite weddings because it doesn’t exemplify one specific character nor does it follow the traditional Disney theme. Burnetts Boards was really rocking it when they featured this beauty, but that’s nothing new for this awesome blog.

One of the best things about this fairytale wedding, in my opinion, is you can see so many characters within the bride’s attire. For instance, right away I thought I was looking at Little Red Riding Hood, but as I scrolled along I saw a little bit of Snow White. I’m sure you will all see something special that speaks to you too! Her dress is total elegance and really makes me feel like I’m looking at Sleeping Beauty while the shawl works to make the entire look magic.

Again, shooting the bridal photos in the snow is always a great idea for this theme, but Esther Gallarday Photography really put some special touches that makes it feel like you’re in the fairytale. The details, especially, speak to the audience. I love the throne centerpiece which makes the royalty aspect stand out, while the quaint dishes and tea cups add a touch of childhood to the mix. All around, this bridal shoot is stunning!

Frozen

Every snowflake makes a difference.

Do you want to have a snowball fight?

Chances are if you have small children you haven’t been able to get Frozen out of your head for the past couple of years. But, hey, you have to admit that Elsa has style that doesn’t compare to anyone else’s! When I came across this photoshoot on Artfully Wed’s Blog I knew it was a segment I had to share!

To begin with, the bride really pulls off the Elsa charm perfectly! From the flawless braid to the stunning dress and icy accessories, I’m sure her guests felt like they were in the movies! Of course, Contemporary Captures Photography did a masterful job of making this ice princess look remarkable in every photo. There’s even a few shots where I find myself waiting for the bride to turn something into ice.

The décor was really a spectacle too. From the ice inspired floral arrangements to the snowflakes on the delightful snacks, everything seemed to put an icy chill in the air. However, my favorite part of the décor and snacks was the couple’s cake which screamed snowball fight thanks to the awesome snowball designs that held up the couple’s top tier!

The Little Mermaid

As hipster as the 80s get!

A whole new menu!

I’m sure I would hear a lot of sad sighs if I didn’t include some Princess Ariel into this post. Of course, not just anything will do when it comes to this fairytale wedding though! But, as I was browsing on Mark Brooke’s Blog I found the perfect Little Mermaid wedding!

The bride really takes things up a notch with her dazzling red hair and beautiful dress that may make you feel like you’ve seen a mermaid from a distance. The groom seals the deal though as he actually does look a whole lot like Princess Eric! These two lovebirds really planned out their wedding perfectly though because even the bridal party sported mermaid style skirts and t-shirts with sea-shell bras printed on them!

The photographer made sure to catch every little detail, including the fork comb that the bride ran through her hair! Accessories weren’t the only tiny details for this wedding though! There was an assortment of sweet treats made to look like they come from Under the Sea!

The photoshoot made me feel totally nostalgic with the elegant photos of the couple posing by the rocks on the beach. It looks like it could be a scene from the movie, which is enough to inspire anyone to plan out a wedding based on their favorite fairytale character.
